Ridiculously damaged penis on 41yo from pressure of hand in masturbation. When will people realising is physically damaging to penis? Also a mess psychologically as he is discussing being trans

The underside of the penis the corpus spongiosum is nowhere to be seen.

How doctors treat phimosis. They know less than me. They are not experts

He writes:

I finally went to my urologist/andrologist appointment today. This is my first experience with a urologist as an adult. I got the appointment like two months ago back when I was just starting treating my phimosis with the silicone rings. Right now I'm using the final ring, my retraction is full when flaccid even if I still see some very small remnants of the hourglass shape when the flaccid penis is larger (as many of you have experienced the size of a single flaccid penis is not always the same as it tends to change depending on the temperature). During erections my foreskin only goes a bit more than halfway but it is much much better of how it used to be. (1/3 of the way retraction before I started).

So I went to my appointment already on the final stretch (no pun intended) of the treatment. He started by explaining all the things about phimosis that we already know and some treatment options but he was very doubtful about stretching as a "cure" for phimosis (he said "cure" with the quotation marks implied). Telling me some straight up lies like "skin doesn't stretch really" and then some legit precautions about how stretching might have some risks like tearing and such (which I already knew and I still think they're very minimal compared to the risks of a surgery). I did clarified that I had some really satisfactory results with the rings so he was kinda curious about the rings that I used so he looked them up on his computer. He was aware of Phimostop but not of Phimocure or the Phimocure knock-off I was using (Phimoring). At best he was reluctanctly accepting of the fact that I was having success with the rings (maybe he just straight up thought that it was all in my head and never really had phimosis, but I know I still have it when erect). And at worst he was dismissive of the treatment. He was even a little snarky about the price I paid for the rings, even though it was more likely cheaper than a surgery given that I don't have insurance.

He then proceeded to inspect me. So I took off my pants and underwear and laid on a chair. He put on some gloves and retracted my foreskin on my flaccid penis (it was kinda cold in the room as all doctor's offices, so my penis was at minimum size and there was 0 sign of hourlgass shape or shaft strangulation). He said everything was perfect and I technically didn't have phimosis, because they only diagnose phimosis on people who can't retract flaccid because of hygienic concerns, or people who retract flaccid but their shaft gets choked. So because of this he didn't even recommended circumcision (best thing about the whole visit to be honest). I did tell him that I had some problems during intercourse, especially during penetration and that I had reduced sensitivity and had some accidental retractions that kill my erections because of tightness but he was sort of dismissive and waved the concerns away. He said that he could perform the circumcision if that bothered me too much and he was only going to give me a "half-recommendation" for a surgery but that he thought it really wasn't necessary.

I asked him about bethametasone or some other steroid creams and said he was not aware of any of those creams and that it sounded impossible for a cream to stretch your skin (oh well at least he didn't gave it to me and told me to just apply it waiting for it to work without any stretching). It's a shame, because getting a steroid cream prescription was my main goal as I wanted it to help me that extra mile that I need to finish the treatment as I ran out of larger rings to wear. But I can live without it tbh.

At the end he was sort of aware enough that I was gonna keep stretching it with the rings because I really made it specific that the only reason I could retract so smoothly now was because of that. So he sort of acceptingly said "yeah, of course it's gonna be looser because you're putting a ring to stretch it" very much contradicting his first statement that "skin doesn't really stretch". So he just recommended me to be careful to not cut myself and not use them for too long and to put on some sort of moisturizing cream. I told him that I used virgin coconut oil because it's a moisturizer and antimicrobial and he said it was okay, but also recommended me some over the counter cream with vitamin E.

And that was pretty much it. I guess I'm happy I finally went and confirmed that I'm healthy besides the phimosis and that I don't have a very severe case. I'm glad that he didn't push the circumcision on me but really dissapointed on how shallow his vision was on the matter as I live in a country where circumcision is uncommon outside of some religious minorities so I was expecting more knowledge on the matter. He didn't even mentioned any other possible surgeries outside of circumicision that I know exist. But overall I think it was a waste of 27 dollars (it might not sound like a lot for some but it is a lot for a student living in an expensive city where 27 dollars would've been useful for other important things). I know I could get a second opinion, but I'm very advanced on my treatment and I feel like it would be a waste of money. I will consider it only if I hit a very hard plateau, but I doubt that will happen.

For some context: This is a fancy doctor practicing in a fancy private practice clinic in the downtown of a very metropolitan city and educated in a very good medical school. So I'm kinda shocked that he wasn't aware of steroid creams. Maybe they're not legal in the country or something, I should do some more research.

tl;dr: They only diagnose phimosis on people who can't retract flaccid, and because right now I'm only unable to retract erect I TECHNICALLY don't have phimosis. He was very doubtful and dismissive of stretching as a treatment but couldn't do much about it because I've had more than stellar results with the treatment. And because I don't "really" have phimosis he didn't push for circumcision, but he didn't recommended any steroid creams because he wasn't aware of them. So he just said to be careful if I continued stretching.

Proof a lot of guys are stupid

I have noticed that my foreskin got a bit tighter than usual (i can retract fully whether erect or not)and also got a small cut on my foreskin after masturbating , is phimosis the cause? i also got a cut after i tried to retract it .

So you were practicing not masturbating but cut your foreskin while masturbating. So presumably for you to practice nofap you were doing it a lot. And the responses recommend you to masturbate more. I give up.

Doesn’t recommend glansie

My foreskin is too tight to fit two fingers inside. However, I recently got myself a Glansie. What it is is like a tool made of stainless steel that can be inserted into the foreskin in order to help stretch so fingers crossed this'll work.

I have this. Never really found it useful. I was similar to you, unable to fit fingers in. You can start slow, and just grab the edges and pull them apart to start with. As each day goes on, you can try and see if you are able to get your fingers in there. I think eventually you will be able to, it may feel weird at first but you will get use to it. Best of luck!

Foreskin stuck (paraphimosis) + obvious masturbation damage to penis

The penis looks damaged from pressure of hand in mastubration.  The upper shaft as you can see isnt thick enough hightwise to be wider than the glans.  So the foreskin is going to get stuck.  This is the same width-wise.

31yo guy cures phimosis by reducing masturbation pressure and frequency

He writes:

Hi guys, this is my stretching journey, with as much detail as possible and some tips. Hope it helps you!

Long story short: I discovered the way I was masturbating caused my phimosis. I did stretching exercises and succeeded.

Disclaimer: This is not medical advice. This is only my experience.

MY PHIMOSIS CONDITION

31 Years old. Grade 2 phimosis, with lots of scarred skin. I can retract fully when flaccid, but not when erect. Didn't use to have phimosis before, I acquired it through the years. I could always fit 2 fingers inside the foreskin to do the stretching.

Photo: this is all I can pull:

Video: you can see how much I can pull. The phimotic band is not at the top of the foreskin, which is why I can pull some more with my fingers.

HOW I THINK I GOT PHIMOSIS - DID BAD MASTURBATION HABITS CAUSED AND WORSENED MY PHIMOSIS?

I didn't consult a doctor about this, so this is only my opinion, but I'm sure this is what happened. I didn't use to have phimosis; I acquired it through the years. I think I got it from masturbating vigorously (applying too much force and pressure with my hand). I would always end up with a swollen foreskin, and sometimes little cuts on it. This caused the skin to form scar tissue, which doesn't stretch as much as normal skin, so my guess is that all that scarring made my skin tighter.

There is something called "Traumatic Masturbation Syndrome", which is when you masturbate vigorously or do prone masturbation. This causes the penis to become desensitized, and can cause erectile dysfunction in the long run. So I think this is what happened to me, I applied too much pressure, become desensitized and needed even more to make it feel good every time, causing more harm to the skin.

CHANGING MASTURBATION HABITS

This took a lot of time before I found out how to correctly masturbate because I didn't know what the problem was. So at first I thought that only by pulling forwards with my hand (so that the foreskin covers the head) and letting loose so the foreskin uncovers the head on its own would be enough. That didn't work out, because I was still applying too much pressure.

I read that for a desensitized penis, not masturbating for a week would make it sensitive again to little stimulation. So I come up with the idea of masturbating by not applying any pressure at all. I don't close my hand around the penis, and I barely touch it. It took some time to make a habit of it, but I could see the effects immediately, the skin wouldn't become swollen anymore.

Nonetheless, this took months, I don't know how many. It's hard changing something you are used to do in a certain way. I guess it's like learning how to write with the opposite hand.

MY STRETCHING JOURNEY, ROUTINE & ADJUSTMENTS

After changing my masturbation habits, I decided to give stretching a try before consulting a doctor.

DAY 1: The first couple of weeks were only for testing: how much stretching I could handle, how much force to apply, where to apply it, how the skin reacted through the days, etc.

DAY 14: After that, I decided my stretching routine: 2 minutes 30 seconds, 4 times with resting time in between, once a day after shower. The resting times were also approximately 2'30" each. I was precise with the stretching time, but not so much with the resting time. I held this routine for 1 and 1/2 months, and I could start seeing some results, but only a little bit, so I decided to change it.

DAY 60: I changed it to 5' of stretching and 5'-10' of resting in between, 4 times, once a day. The foreskin could resist it, but my fingers become numb by the last minutes. After one month with this routine, I started seeing real results. I started feeling motivated, which was a great mental change. Under certain positions, I could retract my foreskin almost completely if I forced it carefully and slowly.

DAY 90: Another month in, it was easier to retract my foreskin, but still not there yet, because there's still some resistance. Finding the phimotic band with my fingers became harder, since it kind of got to the point where the rest of the foreskin is. By this point I already consider it a success. When I masturbate, it's easier to do it if I stretch beforehand. I continue stretching the same way, but find the progress slows down, maybe it's because with every day that passes, I find it harder to find the phimotic band, and I don't really know if I'm actually stretching it. Nonetheless, there is progress.

DAY 120: This was the result. I heard that once you are done, you should keep stretching for at least 4 weeks to avoid it from shrinking, and after only by masturbating you will be able to maintain it. So that's what I'll do, maybe I keep stretching even more time, just in case. And I'll stretch the entire foreskin, and not only where the phimotic band was. Here is the before & after:

https://preview.redd.it/o6csm57pcuk81.jpg?width=4160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=352960c772b9b071c8fec312e9dfb232554c5c8d

https://reddit.com/link/t4j73k/video/aw9f0y5qcuk81/player

To sum it up, this is how much time the stretching took:

  • 15 days for testing
  • 45 days of not stretching enough.
  • 60 days doing it right.

HOW I DID THE STRETCHING & TIPS I LEARNED

  • I didn't use any cream or oil. I always stretched after the shower to have moisturized and relaxed skin. There were some times when I did it before shower, so I gently massaged the foreskin to get it to relax.
  • I used the 2 fingers stretching (they always fitted in), holding still all the time, and not letting loose
  • I didn't stretch the whole foreskin with the falange of my fingers, only used the tip of the fingers to stretch the phimotic band.
  • When stretching, you should feel tension, but it must not painful. How much is something you have to try and find out yourself. It also shouldn’t ache after stretching sessions.
  • You have to be constant and do it daily, but also let the skin rest occasionally. For me, there was usually one day a week in which I wouldn't stretch, or do it for half the time, just to avoid soreness. If the skin becomes sore, then let it rest the necessary days for it to heal (this didn't happen to me at all, if it continues happening to you, then you are doing something wrong).
  • Don't try to rush it at first, use the first few weeks as a test to learn how to do it, don't expect the results to come during that time.
  • It takes compromise to do it every day; you have to think of it as a routine, just like brushing your teeth or showering. You won't be motivated to do it; you just have to do it. Motivation comes when you start seeing the first results, and it has a positive effect on your mind; when it comes, you will want to keep going.
  • It may sound like it takes a lot of time, but time flies by. It's years of phimosis fixed by a few months only.
  • I highly recommend reading this: http://phimosisjourney.com/

I hope this helped you! Thank you for reading!

Editor note:  Note that the reason he can retract easier is because the 2 side by side corpus cavernosum (the shaft) has repaired and is now wider than the head.  In the before penis pic the shaft goes in slightly towards the head of the penis.  The before picture also shows the penis bends forward indicating damage to the corpus spongiosum (the underside chamber of the 3 chambers of the penis).
